There are places you visit…
And then there are places you experience.
At Timber Valley, every private tour is a journey through the places that have become part of our family’s story. Guests discover the beauty of the barn, the scenic overlooks, wooded trails, and the peaceful countryside that make Timber Valley so special.
Then, just when they think they’ve seen it all, we quietly smile and say,
“We saved the best for last… just for you.”
As we make our way through Timber Valley in the seat of the Bobcat, the air begins to change. The cool air of the hollow gently flows across our faces as we gradually descend toward The Cove.
Almost without realizing it, the pace of life begins to slow.
Towering sycamore trees rise above a crystal-clear spring-fed pond that remains a refreshing 54 degrees throughout the year. Beyond the pond, the peaceful beauty of God’s Cathedral welcomes quiet reflection. Nearby, the winding paths of The Enchanted Forest invite exploration beneath a canopy of trees, while the magnificent Tree-Mendous Tree stands as one of Timber Valley’s most treasured landmarks.
Bordering the historic C&O Canal and the Potomac River, The Cove is more than a destination.
It is the peaceful heart of Timber Valley.
Here, every season tells a different story.
Spring awakens with the gentle chorus of spring peepers serenading visitors from the pond’s edge.
Summer brings cool shade beneath majestic sycamores and the refreshing air that naturally settles into the hollow.
Autumn transforms the landscape into brilliant shades of gold, crimson, and bronze.
Winter wraps The Cove in a quiet beauty all its own, where every branch, every reflection, and every peaceful moment seems to slow time itself.
One morning, during a private tour, we noticed that one of our guests had quietly stepped away.
A little while later, we found her sitting alone in God’s Cathedral, peacefully reading beneath the trees.
No one suggested it.
No one planned it.
The Cove simply invited her to stay awhile.
Moments like that remind Karen and me why we enjoy sharing Timber Valley.
The greatest gift anyone can give is the gift of their time.
We give ours not to sell a venue rental, but to share an experience. Our hope is that every guest leaves having experienced something they cannot find anywhere else—a remarkable place where faith, family, nature, history, and peaceful beauty come together across 100 acres.
If only for a moment, sit quietly beside the spring-fed pond.
Before long, the spring peepers will begin their evening serenade from the banks surrounding the water.
Stop.
Listen.
Take the moment in.
Welcome to The Cove.🌿💧🌳

Reason #1: We Saved the Best for Last
There is a reason Karen and I always end our private tours at The Cove.
We could easily begin there.
Instead, we choose to save it for last.
Not because it’s the farthest destination on the farm.
Because we believe it is the most meaningful.
Throughout the tour, guests experience the beauty of Timber Valley. They visit the barn, enjoy the scenic overlooks, travel wooded trails, and discover many of the special places that have become part of our family’s story.
Then, almost without anyone noticing, the journey begins to change.
As we make our way through Timber Valley in the seat of the Bobcat, the air begins to change. The cool air of the hollow gently flows across our faces as we gradually descend toward The Cove.
Almost without realizing it, the pace of life begins to slow.
The conversation becomes quieter.
People begin looking around rather than looking ahead.
The towering sycamore trees come into view.
The crystal-clear spring-fed pond quietly reflects the beauty surrounding it.
The peaceful sounds of nature replace the sounds of everyday life.
Before long, guests understand why we chose this place to conclude their visit.
Over the years, we’ve heard many wonderful comments after giving tours, but one message has stayed with us.
“Again, thanks for an exciting tour. I felt like we should have paid for such a fun time.”
Those words meant more to us than the guest probably realized.
They reminded us that people weren’t simply touring a venue.
They were experiencing Timber Valley.
Our greatest hope has never been that someone leaves talking about the barn or even a particular location on the property.
Our hope is that they leave feeling refreshed.
Feeling peaceful.
Feeling connected with God’s creation.
The greatest gift anyone can give is the gift of their time.
We give ours not to sell a venue rental, but to share a place that has become deeply meaningful to our family. God has blessed us with a remarkable 100-acre property, and it is our privilege to share its beauty, peace, and stories with every guest who visits.
By the time we arrive at The Cove, we aren’t simply showing people another destination.
We’re inviting them to experience the very heart of Timber Valley.
Perhaps that’s why one of our favorite questions from returning guests has become…
“Are we going to The Cove?”
With a smile, our answer is always the same.
“We saved the best for last… just for you.”🌿💧
Reason #2: The Air Begins to Change
Long before guests see the spring-fed pond…
Long before the towering sycamore trees come into view…
Long before they discover God’s Cathedral or the peaceful paths of the Enchanted Forest…
Something unexpected happens.
The air begins to change.
As we continue our gradual descent into The Cove aboard the Bobcat, many guests don’t immediately notice why everything suddenly feels different. They simply smile as the refreshing air gently flows across their faces.
Then someone usually says…
“Wow… it feels cooler down here.”
They’re absolutely right.
The Cove is a natural hollow where cool air settles beneath the shade of majestic sycamore trees. The crystal-clear spring-fed pond, which remains a refreshing 54 degrees throughout the year, helps create an environment that feels noticeably different from the open fields above.
Even on warm summer afternoons, guests often comment on the welcome change in temperature as we descend toward the pond.
It isn’t something we have to point out.
The Cove speaks for itself.
The cooler air invites people to slow their pace.
They begin looking upward into the towering canopy instead of checking their phones.
They notice the gentle movement of leaves in the breeze.
They hear birds singing from the trees.
If they pause long enough, they’ll hear the spring peepers calling from around the pond, adding their own peaceful chorus to the quiet beauty of The Cove.
It’s one of those experiences that’s difficult to explain until you’ve felt it yourself.
Nature has a remarkable way of reminding us to slow down.
Here, the cooler air, the gentle sounds of wildlife, and the peaceful surroundings seem to work together, encouraging visitors to simply be present.
Karen and I have made this journey into The Cove hundreds of times over the years.
Yet every time we begin that gradual descent, we still notice the same refreshing change in the air.
It’s one of the first reminders that you’ve entered a place unlike anywhere else at Timber Valley.
And it’s only the beginning of what makes The Cove so unforgettable.
Reason #3: The Majestic Sycamores Have Been Waiting for You
Before guests notice the peaceful spring-fed pond…
Before they hear the spring peepers singing from the water’s edge…
Their eyes are naturally drawn upward.
Standing watch over The Cove are magnificent sycamore trees, some of the largest and most impressive trees found anywhere on the property.
Their broad branches stretch gracefully above the pond, creating a cool canopy of shade that changes with every season.
In spring, fresh green leaves announce that another season of life has begun.
Summer brings deep shade, offering a welcome place to pause and enjoy the refreshing air of the hollow.
Autumn transforms the sycamores into beautiful shades of gold and bronze, while their towering white trunks become even more striking against the colorful landscape.
Then winter quietly reveals another side of their beauty.
Without their leaves, every branch tells a story, reaching toward the sky like living works of art reflected in the calm waters of the spring-fed pond.
These trees have witnessed generations come and go.
They have quietly stood beside the pond through changing seasons, gentle rains, brilliant sunsets, peaceful snowfalls, and countless moments of quiet reflection.
Today, they continue welcoming every guest who makes the journey into The Cove.
Karen and I have often watched visitors naturally slow their pace beneath these towering giants.
Some immediately begin taking photographs.
Others simply stand in silence, looking upward in appreciation of their incredible size and beauty.
There’s something about these sycamores that makes people pause.
Perhaps it’s their age.
Perhaps it’s their quiet strength.
Or perhaps it’s simply the feeling of standing beneath something that has faithfully watched over this peaceful place for many years.
Whatever the reason, the sycamores have become part of The Cove’s story.
They don’t ask for attention.
They simply offer shade, beauty, and a quiet reminder that some of God’s greatest creations grow stronger, more beautiful, and more inspiring with every passing year.
As sunlight filters through their branches and dances across the crystal-clear waters below, it’s easy to understand why so many guests find themselves lingering here just a little longer.
Sometimes the most remarkable part of The Cove isn’t what you came to see.
It’s what quietly captures your heart while you’re there.
Reason #4: The Spring-Fed Pond Is the Peaceful Heart of The Cove
Every remarkable place seems to have a heart.
At The Cove, that heart is the crystal-clear spring-fed pond.
Fed continuously by fresh spring water that remains a refreshing 54 degrees throughout the year, the pond has become one of the most peaceful places anywhere on the Timber Valley property.
Unlike ponds that rise and fall dramatically with the seasons, the steady flow of spring water gives this special place a sense of calm and consistency.
Every drop of water quietly tells the story of nature’s remarkable design.
On still mornings, the pond becomes a mirror.
The majestic sycamore trees reflect across its surface while birds begin welcoming a new day with their songs from the surrounding branches.
As the day unfolds, gentle breezes ripple across the water, creating ever-changing reflections that photographers quickly discover can never be duplicated twice.
Then, as evening approaches, another wonderful performance begins.
If only for a moment, find a place to sit quietly beside the pond.
Don’t hurry.
Don’t speak.
Simply wait.
Before long, the spring peepers begin their evening serenade from the banks surrounding the water.
One by one, their tiny voices join together until The Cove becomes filled with one of nature’s most beautiful concerts.
There are no amplifiers.
No stage lights.
No admission tickets.
Only the remarkable sounds of God’s creation.
Stop.
Listen.
Take the moment in.
Karen and I have watched countless guests arrive at the pond full of conversation.
Yet it doesn’t take long before the pond quietly changes the atmosphere.
Voices become softer.
Footsteps become slower.
People naturally find a place to stand… or sit… and simply enjoy the moment.
One morning, we noticed a guest quietly sitting alone nearby in God’s Cathedral, peacefully reading beneath the trees.
No one suggested it.
No one planned it.
The peaceful surroundings simply invited her to stay awhile.
Moments like that remind us that sometimes the greatest gift a place can offer isn’t excitement.
It’s peace.
Perhaps that’s why the spring-fed pond has become the quiet heart of The Cove.
It doesn’t demand your attention.
It simply invites you to slow down long enough to discover what you’ve been missing.
Reason #5: God’s Cathedral Invites Quiet Reflection
There are some places that naturally encourage conversation.
God’s Cathedral encourages something different.
Quiet reflection.
Nestled within The Cove beneath a canopy of majestic trees, God’s Cathedral has become one of the most meaningful places at Timber Valley. It isn’t defined by walls, stained-glass windows, or towering steeples.
Instead, its ceiling is the sky.
Its walls are the surrounding forest.
Its music is provided by birdsong, gentle breezes, and the peaceful sounds of nature.
Perhaps that’s why so many guests instinctively lower their voices as they enter.
No one asks them to.
It simply feels right.
One morning, while giving a private tour, we noticed that one of our guests had quietly stepped away.
A little while later, we found her sitting alone beneath the trees in God’s Cathedral.
She wasn’t taking photographs.
She wasn’t looking at her phone.
She was simply reading.
That simple moment has stayed with Karen and me ever since.
No one suggested she spend time there.
The Cove simply invited her to slow down.
For us, that’s one of the greatest compliments this special place could ever receive.
In today’s busy world, quiet places have become increasingly rare.
Yet here, surrounded by towering sycamores, the gentle sounds of the spring-fed pond, and the peaceful beauty of God’s creation, many guests discover something they didn’t even realize they needed.
A moment to breathe.
A moment to think.
A moment to pray.
Or simply…
A moment to be still.
God’s Cathedral reminds us that some of life’s most meaningful experiences don’t require a schedule or an itinerary.
They simply require our presence.
Karen and I believe that is one of the greatest gifts The Cove offers every person who visits.
Long after guests leave Timber Valley, they may not remember every word we shared during the tour.
But we hope they’ll remember how they felt while standing quietly beneath the trees in God’s Cathedral.
Sometimes, that’s the memory that stays with us the longest.
Reason #5: God’s Cathedral Invites Quiet Reflection
There are some places that naturally encourage conversation.
God’s Cathedral encourages something different.
Quiet reflection.

Instead, its ceiling is the sky.
Its walls are the surrounding forest.
Its music is provided by birdsong, gentle breezes, the gentle chorus of spring peepers, and the peaceful sounds of God’s creation.
Surrounding God’s Cathedral are majestic moss-covered boulders that have quietly rested here for generations.
Beyond their natural beauty, these ancient stones become part of the experience itself. Their moss-covered surfaces help soften and absorb many of the surrounding sounds, allowing the peaceful voices of nature to become even more noticeable.
It’s a place where quiet doesn’t feel empty.
It feels alive.
Perhaps that’s one of the reasons guests naturally lower their voices when they arrive.
No sign asks them to be quiet.
The Cove simply invites them to listen.
One morning, while giving a private tour, we noticed that one of our guests had quietly stepped away.
A little while later, we found her sitting alone beneath the trees in God’s Cathedral.
She wasn’t taking photographs.
She wasn’t looking at her phone.

Long after guests leave Timber Valley, they may not remember every word we shared during the tour.
But we hope they’ll remember how they felt while standing quietly beneath the trees in God’s Cathedral.
Sometimes the greatest memories are created not by what we hear…
…but by the peaceful quietness that invites us to simply listen.
Reason #6: The Enchanted Forest Awakens Your Sense of Wonder
Just beyond the peaceful waters of the spring-fed pond lies another unforgettable part of The Cove.
The Enchanted Forest.
Some places ask you to keep walking.
The Enchanted Forest quietly invites you to wander.
Beneath a canopy of towering trees, filtered sunlight dances across the woodland floor as moss-covered rocks, winding paths, and the beauty of God’s creation surround you in every direction.
There is no rush here.
No crowds.
No noise.
Only the quiet invitation to explore.
Children often discover The Enchanted Forest differently than adults.
To them, every trail leads to another adventure.
Every fallen log becomes a bridge.
Every unusual tree sparks another question.
Their imaginations quickly begin writing stories that only a forest like this can inspire.
Adults experience something different.
Many find themselves slowing their pace without even realizing it.
Some stop to admire the intricate patterns of moss growing across ancient rocks.
Others pause as rays of sunlight filter through the trees, creating scenes that seem to change with every passing moment.
Photographers soon realize there isn’t just one beautiful picture waiting to be captured.
There are hundreds.
Every season transforms The Enchanted Forest into something entirely new.
Fresh wildflowers and vibrant green foliage announce the arrival of spring.
Summer fills the forest with cool shade and birdsong.
Autumn paints the woodland with brilliant shades of gold, crimson, and copper.
Then winter quietly reveals the graceful architecture of every tree, every branch, and every winding path beneath a peaceful blanket of snow.
Karen and I never grow tired of walking these trails because no two visits are ever exactly the same.
The forest is always changing.
Always revealing something new.
Perhaps that’s why we chose the name The Enchanted Forest.
Not because it’s imaginary.
But because it has a remarkable way of reminding us that God’s creation still has the power to fill us with childlike wonder.
The Enchanted Forest isn’t simply another place to walk.
It’s a place to slow down…
To notice…
To explore…
And to rediscover the joy of seeing the world through curious eyes.
Like every destination within The Cove, it gently reminds us that some of life’s greatest discoveries are found when we leave the path in search of something beautiful.
Reason #7: The Tree-Mendous Tree Reminds Us How Small We Really Are
Every destination has a landmark that people remember long after they leave.
At The Cove, that landmark is the Tree-Mendous Tree.
Long before we gave it a name, this magnificent giant had already been quietly watching over The Cove for generations.
Its massive trunk, towering height, and sprawling branches immediately capture the attention of nearly everyone who visits.
Children often look up in amazement.
Adults do exactly the same.
Standing beneath its enormous canopy, it’s impossible not to feel a sense of awe.
The Tree-Mendous Tree has weathered countless thunderstorms, changing seasons, harsh winters, and the passing of time with remarkable strength and quiet dignity.
Year after year, it continues doing exactly what it was created to do.
Providing shade.
Offering shelter.
Standing faithfully.
Perhaps that’s one of the reasons it has become one of our favorite places to pause during every tour.
The Tree-Mendous Tree doesn’t compete for attention.
It doesn’t need to.
Its quiet presence speaks for itself.
Karen and I often enjoy watching guests walk toward the tree.
Almost without exception, they slow down as they get closer.
Many place a hand against its rugged bark.
Some step back to take in its incredible size.
Others simply stand beneath its branches, looking upward in silent appreciation.
It’s one of those rare places where words seem unnecessary.
The Tree-Mendous Tree reminds us that some of God’s greatest creations aren’t measured by how quickly they grow, but by the lives they quietly touch over time.
Just as its roots reach deep into the rich soil of The Cove, its story has become deeply rooted in the story of Timber Valley itself.
We often wonder how many seasons this remarkable tree has witnessed.
How many sunrises have filtered through its branches?
How many birds have found shelter within its canopy?
How many generations have stood beneath its limbs, looking upward with the same sense of wonder?
Only God knows.
For us, the Tree-Mendous Tree is more than one of the largest trees on the property.
It is a quiet reminder that strength and beauty are often found in steadfastness.
As guests leave its shade and continue exploring The Cove, many glance back one more time.
It’s almost as though they’re saying goodbye to an old friend.
Some trees simply grow.
The Tree-Mendous Tree leaves an impression that stays with you long after you’ve gone.

Reason #8: Four Seasons, One Extraordinary Place
One of the things Karen and I love most about The Cove is that it never looks exactly the same twice.
Every season writes a new chapter.
Every visit reveals another reason to return.
Spring arrives with a sense of renewal.
Fresh leaves unfold beneath the majestic sycamores, woodland wildflowers begin appearing throughout the forest floor, and the spring peepers once again fill the evening air with their unforgettable chorus. The spring-fed pond reflects the vibrant greens of new life as The Cove awakens from winter’s quiet rest.
Summer transforms The Cove into a refreshing retreat.
The crystal-clear spring-fed pond continues flowing at a cool 54 degrees, while the natural hollow and towering sycamores create a noticeably cooler environment than the open fields above. Gentle breezes drift through the trees, making even warm afternoons feel peaceful and inviting.
Then comes autumn.
Many people visit western Maryland to experience the brilliant fall colors, and The Cove offers one of Timber Valley’s most breathtaking displays. Gold, crimson, bronze, and brilliant shades of orange surround the pond as colorful leaves slowly drift onto the water’s surface. Every reflection becomes another masterpiece waiting to be admired.
Winter brings a different kind of beauty.
Snow quietly blankets the moss-covered boulders surrounding God’s Cathedral. The majestic sycamores reveal their graceful white trunks and intricate branches against a peaceful winter sky. The Enchanted Forest becomes wonderfully still, inviting quiet walks through a landscape that feels almost untouched by time.

No matter the season, one thing never changes.
The peaceful feeling that welcomes every guest.
Some visitors fall in love with the fresh promise of spring.
Others return for the cool shade of summer.
Many eagerly anticipate the spectacular colors of autumn.
And for those who appreciate quiet beauty, winter offers a peacefulness that is difficult to describe until you’ve experienced it for yourself.
Karen and I have come to realize that The Cove doesn’t have a “best” season.
Each one offers its own unforgettable experience.
Perhaps that’s one of the reasons guests often ask if they can return.
Not because they missed something.
But because they know The Cove will greet them with a completely different story the next time they visit.
No matter when you arrive, The Cove has a remarkable way of reminding us that God’s creation is always changing…
…and always beautiful.
Reason #9: Where Nature and History Meet
The Cove is more than a peaceful destination surrounded by God’s creation.
It is also a place where nature and history come together.
Bordering The Cove are two of the Mid-Atlantic’s most treasured landmarks—the historic Chesapeake & Ohio Canal National Historical Park and the majestic Potomac River.
Long before Timber Valley became our home, this valley was alive with activity.
Mules once pulled canal boats along the C&O Canal, carrying coal, lumber, and supplies between communities. Travelers made their way along the towpath, while the Potomac River flowed quietly beside them, just as it does today.
Nearly two centuries later, much has changed.
Yet here at The Cove, it still feels as though time has slowed.
The same river continues its journey toward the Chesapeake Bay.
The same valley welcomes migrating birds, abundant wildlife, and visitors searching for a peaceful place to reconnect with nature.
Standing in The Cove, it’s easy to appreciate how beautifully history and creation exist side by side.
To one side, the quiet waters of the spring-fed pond reflect the towering sycamores above.
Just beyond, the Potomac River continues flowing through a landscape that has inspired generations.
Nearby, the historic C&O Canal reminds us that every place has a story worth preserving.
Karen and I often encourage guests to pause for a moment and simply take it all in.
The remarkable beauty surrounding The Cove isn’t the result of a single attraction.
It’s the combination of everything working together.
The spring-fed pond.
God’s Cathedral.
The Enchanted Forest.
The Tree-Mendous Tree.
The majestic sycamores.
The Potomac River.
The C&O Canal.
Each one adds another chapter to the story.
Together, they create an experience that simply cannot be duplicated.
Perhaps that’s why The Cove feels unlike anywhere else.
It isn’t just a beautiful place to visit.
It’s a place where the beauty of God’s creation and the rich history of our nation quietly meet, inviting every visitor to slow down, look around, and appreciate both.
Reason #10: The Cove Stays With You Long After You Leave
Some places are beautiful while you’re there.
The Cove has a remarkable way of staying with you long after you’ve gone home.
Perhaps it’s the refreshing coolness of the hollow.
Perhaps it’s the peaceful reflections dancing across the spring-fed pond.
Perhaps it’s the towering sycamore trees reaching toward the sky.
Or maybe it’s simply the feeling of slowing down in a world that rarely does.
Karen and I have often noticed that guests don’t rush to leave The Cove.
They linger.
They take one more photograph.
They sit quietly beside the pond for just a few more minutes.
They take one last look toward God’s Cathedral.
Almost everyone glances back before walking away.
Over the years, we’ve discovered that the memories people cherish most are rarely connected to a schedule or an itinerary.
Instead, they’re connected to moments.
A sunrise breaking over the ridge.
Steam gently rising from the spring-fed pond on a cold winter morning.
The evening chorus of spring peepers welcoming another sunset.
A quiet conversation beneath the majestic sycamores.
A peaceful moment reading in God’s Cathedral.
The laughter of children discovering The Enchanted Forest.
Standing beneath the Tree-Mendous Tree and realizing just how magnificent God’s creation truly is.
Those are the moments that stay with us.
Those are the moments that become stories shared around dinner tables, remembered in family photo albums, and revisited every time someone looks back at a favorite photograph.
When guests return to Timber Valley, many don’t ask us where the barn is.
They don’t ask where the parking area is.
Instead, they smile and ask,
“Are we going to The Cove?”
With a smile, our answer is always the same.
“We saved the best for last… just for you.”
At that moment, we know something special happened during their last visit.
They didn’t simply remember a place.
They remembered how that place made them feel.
For Karen and me, there is no greater compliment than knowing The Cove has become part of someone else’s story.
Because long after every tour has ended, that feeling remains.
And perhaps that’s the greatest gift The Cove has to offer.
Reason #11: Experience The Cove for Yourself
Some places simply cannot be fully appreciated through words or photographs.
The Cove is one of them.

We can describe the cool air that settles into the hollow.
We can tell you about the crystal-clear spring-fed pond that remains 54 degrees throughout the year.
We can share stories of towering sycamore trees, moss-covered boulders, God’s Cathedral, the Enchanted Forest, the Tree-Mendous Tree, and the peaceful beauty surrounding every corner of The Cove.
But none of those words can replace standing here yourself.
Feeling the cool breeze gently flow across your face.
Hearing the spring peepers begin their evening serenade.
Watching steam rise from the pond as the first rays of the winter sun dance across the still water.
Listening as birds welcome another beautiful morning.
Standing quietly beneath the towering sycamores.
Or finding your own peaceful place to simply stop…
Listen…
And take the moment in.
The greatest gift anyone can give is the gift of their time.
Karen and I consider it a privilege to share ours with every family, couple, and guest who visits Timber Valley.
Not because we hope you’ll remember everything we say.
But because we hope you’ll discover something meaningful for yourself.
Perhaps you’ll find peace.
Perhaps you’ll rediscover the wonder of God’s creation.
Perhaps you’ll simply enjoy spending uninterrupted time with someone you love.
Whatever you find here, we hope it becomes part of your own story.
Every time Karen and I leave The Cove, we quietly look back one more time.
It reminds us how incredibly blessed we are to call this remarkable place home.
God has blessed us with 100 beautiful acres, and it is our joy to share them with others.
So when you come to Timber Valley and someone asks,
“When do we get to The Cove?”
We’ll smile and say…
“We saved the best for last…
…just for you.”
We hope that years from now, whenever you think about Timber Valley, The Cove will be one of the first places that comes to mind.
Not because of what you saw…
But because of how you felt.
Welcome to The Cove.
We can’t wait to share it with you.

Discover the Peaceful Heart of Timber Valley
Some places are visited.
Others become part of you.
Long after you’ve left The Cove, you may still remember the cool air flowing through the hollow, the reflection of the majestic sycamores dancing across the spring-fed pond, the peaceful quietness of God’s Cathedral, the wonder of the Enchanted Forest, the strength of the Tree-Mendous Tree, and the timeless beauty of the Potomac River and historic C&O Canal.
Perhaps you’ll remember the evening chorus of spring peepers welcoming another sunset.
Or the steam gently rising from the spring-fed pond as the first rays of the winter morning dance across the still water.
Perhaps you’ll simply remember how you felt.
The greatest gift anyone can give is the gift of their time.
Karen and I consider it one of life’s greatest blessings to share this remarkable place with every guest who visits Timber Valley.
God has blessed us with an extraordinary 100-acre property, and nowhere is that blessing more evident than in The Cove.
Long before we ever called Timber Valley home, God was shaping this peaceful hollow. He placed a spring that still flows today, allowed majestic sycamores to grow skyward, surrounded God’s Cathedral with moss-covered boulders, and created a place where faith, family, nature, history, and quiet reflection come together.
We simply have the privilege of sharing it with others.
So, when you arrive at Timber Valley and ask,
“When do we get to The Cove?”
We’ll smile and answer…
“We saved the best for last… just for you.”
Until then…
May God bless you, your family, and every journey that brings you closer to the beauty of His creation.
We look forward to welcoming you to The Cove.
