Going Above and Beyond for a Perfect Wedding Day.
We cannot express how grateful we are for this venue and for Tom and Karen, who went far above our expectations to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. Their kindness, care, and professionalism were evident in everything they did for us.
The day of our wedding was extremely windy, and the tent we had set up that morning ended up blowing away and breaking several patio bulbs. While we were gone getting ready, from about 10 AM until we returned around 2:30 PM, Tom completely cleaned up all the broken glass and replaced the bulbs. We didn’t even know how much work he had done behind the scenes until weeks later; all he mentioned at the time was simply that the wind had taken the tent. He handled everything quietly so we wouldn’t feel a single moment of stress. Also, because of the wind, Tom and Karen also helped us move all of our ceremony items into the barn so everything would stay safe and beautiful. Their willingness to step in and help us adapt saved our ceremony setup, and we are so grateful.
On top of that, Tom even took the time to drive us back to the “Enchanted Forest” so we could get the photos we had dreamed of. That thoughtful gesture meant the world to us.
Tom and Karen truly blessed our wedding day. Their venue is stunning, but their hearts and hospitality are what make it extraordinary. We would highly, highly recommend this venue to any couple looking for a place with breathtaking scenery, a beautiful setting, and a team that will genuinely care for you every step of the way.

Highly Recommended for Corporate Events and Parties
A Stress-Free All-Inclusive Company Party!
We recently used Timber Valley Farm Barn Rental for a company party and loved every minute working with the owners! Tom went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions were answered and ensured the party went as smoothly as it could. We went with the all inclusive package ( included DJ, Bar tender and after-party clean up) which was super affordable and made the night a breeze for us. They also helped with finding a caterer ( Ernst Market) to help with a custom menu and delicious food. Tom and his family have a slice of heaven on their farm and we would highly recommend choosing them for an event!

The Wedding Fairies Who Made Our Day Perfect
A friend recommended this venue after having their son’s wedding here. The pictures sold us before we even visited but when our group (soon to be bride and groom, myself mother of the bride and mother of the groom) showed up on a snowy freezing day and met Tom and Karen we were all in. They were professional and laid back, hard balance to achieve.
Answered all questions, offered ideas from prior weddings and was very realistic about what to expect at their venue. In total I think I personally made 5 trips to the venue prior to wedding and Tom met us with a smile for all. We felt like it was his joy to host us for the wedding! The goal as intended was to make us feel supported and the most joy possible felt for all!- Goal accomplished. Communication was timely. Day of the team were like the wedding fairies that was there when needed and then not as to not interfere. Day of was very windy and they helped us transition everything to inside seamlessly and we even had some wind mishaps after setting up that Tom handled in our absence after setting up, as not to stress us out. We did not even learn of it until a few weeks after.
This venue is stunning yet rustic. No fluff here but true beauty with intentionality! Tom and Karen are fairly new to the venue business but have hit the bullseye! Great value, great people and great memories! As parents of the bride would strongly recommend this venue and are excited to see the photos and video from this stellar setting for our perfect day!

A Fairytale October Wedding at Timber Valley Farm Barn Rental!
My son and his fiancé looked for a barn rental for their October wedding, and found Timber Valley Farm Barn Rental. They fell in love with the venue immediately! The farm is beautiful and the barn is set up perfectly for a successful event. It also offered lots of photography options in the barn and around the farm. Tom and Karen are lovely people and were very available for our needs and questions. We had the opportunity to decorate/dress the venue as desired and it turned out beautifully. They even participated in the event by providing wagon rides and delivering the bride and groom to the venue! This place is a hidden Gem! Beautiful venue, gorgeous scenery, Staff is very helpful & very tentative to their guest request! We simply can’t thank Tom and Karen Grosh of Timber Valley Farm Barn Rental enough for the beautiful venue and hospitality shown for Meaghan and Zach’s couples shower last weekend! The venue and grounds were absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t have chosen a prettier place.
We had family and friends from New York to Florida and so many compliments were received from them about this little slice of heaven in Clear Spring MD. Tom was always available to us – for a tour, answering my many questions and assisting in the planning for it all to come together. And it surely did without one glitch!
Our party of 60+ thoroughly enjoyed the wagon ride, the fire pit (which Tom even supplied the makings for Smore’s), the Photo Booth was a big hit, cornhole, swings, relaxing couches and chairs, and the ambience of it all. What a night to remember for a very special couple. Thank you so very much!

Absolutely Magical! The Perfect Party Venue
Timber Valley was the perfect setting for our daughter’s sweet 16 birthday party. The beautiful scenery was the ideal backdrop for celebrating with family and friends. It was private and secluded. Decorating was a breeze since the facility is amazing on its own. Lights inside and outside create a warm, welcoming atmosphere. There is ample outdoor space for yard games and badminton.
Our guests had fun with the photobooth, and we have a creative way to capture the evening. Smore’s enjoyed while relaxing in chairs around a fire made the party even sweeter. A wagon ride with friends was a definite highlight of the evening!
Tom and Karen went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly what we envisioned.

Beautiful venue!! I highly suggest this site for a moderate-sized wedding. The owner is extremely accommodating! My initial review was on Friday after the rehearsal. Updating on Monday… I was the officiant for a Saturday wedding. The venue is wonderful, the wedding was a great time! The setting – the barn, the grounds, the countryside – is beautiful. The owners went above and beyond for the bridal party and their family.

Winebrenner recommends Timber Valley Farm Barn Rental. This venue is the perfect indoor/outdoor event space. We had the most amazing experience with Timber Valley Farm Barn Rental for our wedding! Tom and Karen were such kind, welcoming hosts who went above and beyond to make our weekend special.
The property is absolutely beautiful, with so many perfect photo spots—like the spring and Rock Hollow. We loved staying in the on-site cabins from Thursday to Sunday, which gave us plenty of time to set up and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Tom was great with communication and always responded quickly. The whole experience was affordable, stress-free, and such a blessing. I truly felt that God led me there, and I’m so grateful He did. I’m so happy with how everything turned out—it was even better than I imagined.

A Magical Wedding at a Beautiful Location
My son and daughter-in-law held their wedding here on May 3, 2025 and everything came together for a magical day!
Here are a few of the things we appreciated and why we highly recommend Timber Valley Farm:
Location-Beautiful places for pictures at the barn, railroad overlook, rock formation and pond. Close to a hotel for the guests
Accommodations- Clean, rustic cabins with a tin roof porch, fire pit, and playground equipment for the whole wedding party where everyone was happy and safe before and after the wedding.

A Photographer’s Dream Venue
I shot a wedding here as a photographer yesterday and I’m so incredibly impressed with this venue and their staff! The barn was gorgeous, the property was so expansive, the owner drove us as the photographers around with the couple to be sure we were safe and comfortable on the property. 10/10 recommend this venue to anyone looking for one in the area! ☺️

The Best Place for All of Life’s Celebrations
My daughter got married at Timber Valley Farm in June 2024. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the owners could not be better to work with! If you find yourself getting stressed, trust Tom to make you laugh…
The wedding party also stayed in the cabins for the weekend, which are very nice and well-maintained. A family member has since held a “Sweet 16” party there and we plan to use it soon for a baby shower. Can’t say enough good things about Timber Valley Farm and the Groshs!

Just wow!! Just took a tour of this venue and it is amazing.!! All the special touches with archways and outdoor seating available for onsite weddings, and a beautiful barn for reception with outdoor luxury seating with firepits, twinkle lights over concrete area perfect for DJ and dance floor. secluded with plenty of parking. You get so much at a very, very reasonable price. If you have a child or grandchild planning a wedding and are looking for a venue look no farther! You want to book here! This is a hidden gem in the Clear Spring Area. I recommend this for all types of venues, you and your guests will be thrilled I promise you!

A Spectacular Event at a Breathtaking Venue
I hosted my husband’s surprise 40th birthday party at Timber Valley Barn Rental and it was a spectacular event, thanks largely to the venue. Timber Valley Farm Barn Rental is a breathtaking property, and Tom and Karen are fantastic people.
They were communicative, helpful, and went above and beyond to make sure our event was exactly what I hoped for. We will absolutely be hosting other events here in the future!

A Wedding Planner’s Dream Venue
I had the honors of being the wedding planner for a sweet couple and Timber Valley Farm Barn Rental was the perfect venue for their wedding. They had it all, from phenomenal staff to stunning views. We could not have asked for a better venue to work with. They truly made the couple, and their guests feel like VIP throughout the weekend and their top notch team helped me ensure that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. We hosted the ceremony in the field, cocktail hour took place in the barn along with the reception. The concrete hosted the dance floor, extra seating and made the best backdrop area for the guest to take photos. I could not recommend Timber Valley Farm Barn Rental enough, and I can’t wait to return and work with Tom and Karen again planning future celebrations for many more clients.

The Perfect Celebration Venue! Spectacular Barn & Service
Timber Valley Farm Barn Rental was the perfect venue for my daughter’s High School Graduation-College Send Off Celebration.
The venue is a beautifully constructed barn located on the countryside with spectacular views. It was great that there were plenty of tables, chairs and a bar area included with the rental of the venue.
The patio area was spacious with comfortable outside seating and room for playing games.
Tommy and Karen were very responsive to all questions we had and take pride in this space that they have created.

The Best Place for Lifelong Memories
Timber Valley is the BEST place to go for a weekend getaway ! You can even go for the week . The grounds is SO BREATHTAKING and WELL maintained. There is so much to do and see and spent quality time with family and friends while making lifelong MEMORIES . The actual VENUE is just as charming and so perfect for having many different parties. We had a Retirement party there and everyone was SO impressed with this beautiful venue and its charming special details. We loved everything about this place and HIGHLY recommend it to you. A Dreamy Reception & Accommodating Owners
This review is very overdue but much needed. We got married in Hawaii and decided to have a reception for our friends and family back here in Maryland. I cannot say enough about this venue or the owners. Beautiful location, clean venue, and a bonus was the amazing camp site for rent. Tom and his wife are absolutely the kindest and most accommodating. Very easy to communicate with and flexible with vendors you want to use, which is nice. The whole process was so easy and they made great recommendations for linens. They are well stocked and had tables, sign holders, chairs, fridge, wood structure for entrance or wedding, large wood bar if needed, etc. I highly recommend them and will book them again in the future.
